Library plays a vital role in providing the students as well as teachers with reliable
content. It encourages and promotes the process of learning and grasping
knowledge. The book worms get loads of books to read here and enhance their
knowledge. Moreover, the variety is so wide-ranging that one mostly gets what they
are looking for. The students who are interested in the literature, science
experiments, science project making, mythology, moral stories, poems, drama avail
this facility to the fullest.
Vidhya Vihar Library is well equipped with altogether 7949 books including picture
dictionaries, Atlas, Quiz or books to prepare for competitive exams like AIMS,
National Talent search exam or various Olympiads.
In order to keep one upgraded with the current affairs, happenings or achievements
we also have a ‘Year book’ which specifies the details of the achievements given as
per the year. Students also get to explore the Guinness Book of world records that
motivates them in life. The library also has a subscription of an English and a
Konkani Daily available for students to read the news and keep them updated with
stories and current affairs across the globe.
During the library period, students are distributed with the interesting story books to
read in class. Students are engrossed in these books and even reach out to librarian
to get the book issued to them so as to complete their story reading at home.
Students have a great access to the grammar books of various authors in all the
main instructional languages such as English, Hindi and Konkani.
Roughly around 2000 books are issued in class every year to read in class during
the Library period. This eventually shows the love of our students towards the
reading hub of the school.
