Scholarships

The Government of India offers several central scholarship schemes to support
Scheduled Tribe (ST) students in pursuing their education. Scholarships are financial
awards that help students pay for their education and are given by schools,
universities, or other institutions.


One among them is Central Govt. funded Pre-Matric Scholarship Scheme for
Students of ST Category. This scholarship is designed to support ST students
studying in classes IX and X. The scheme aims to minimize dropout rates by
providing financial assistance.


Another centrally funded scheme is the Pre-Matric Scholarship Scheme for the
students of Minority Community. This scholarship is available for the students of
Class I to X


Among the State funded scholarships, the scheme available to our students is State
Govt. funded CM Pre-Matric Scholarship Scheme for Students of ST category
enrolled in classes V to X and CM Pre-Matric Scholarship Scheme for students
of OBC/SC category in recognized institutions. It offers financial assistance to cover
education-related expenses, including tuition fees, books, and other materials is
available on Chief Minister’s Scholarship Portal in Goa.


Yet another scholarship which students can avail is The National Means-cum-Merit
Scholarship Scheme (NMMSS). This is a central government initiative aimed at
providing financial assistance to meritorious students from economically weaker
sections to prevent them from dropping out of school
